If they refuse that then they are saying that no style of building would be considered acceptable in Swithland. I wonder if your local Councillor Peter Osborne would approve of a steel metal shed ? Doesnt he live just up the road ?

RE: Should the barn be built from traditional materials or from Modern Tin ?
If I were you I would stick up a steel shed. Its cheap, quick and even though it will look horrible, you shouldnt care because all you need is a building to store your feed and farming kit, right ? Nobody is going to shake you by the hand and say "well done Mr White for building a lovely stone barn". People in small villages are full of suspicion and jealousy. Anything half decent will attract a lot of attention and anger those living in lesser houses that your barn !! So why bother making the effort to design and build something that will fit in ? The locals would probably pefer to see a cheap nasty steel shed instead.

DONT LET THE COUNCIL DO THIS TO YOU AGAIN. YOU MUST HAVE LOST A BUCKET OF MONEY ALREADY. THEY WILL DO IT TO YOU AGAIN............ TONY ROTHLEY. |
